Mary McDonnell

 Mary Eileen McDonnell, born April 28th 1952 was an American actress who appears on stage, TV, and film. Her performances in Dances with Wolves, Stands With A Fist and Passion Fish earned her Academy Award nominations. McDonnell is most famous for her role as First Lady Marilyn Whitmore in Independence Day and President Laura Roslin on Battlestar Galactica. In the series' seasons 5-7 she was in the role of Captain Sharon Raydor and in Major Crimes spin-offs on TNT.
